Water Park

In Amarillo, we went down a big, humongous slide at the water park. It was a U shaped slide that if you went down it you would be so scared if it was your first time! It was my first time there, but I braved it out! It is VERY high!

That same night, we had a big, dangerous (that scared me half to death) lightening storm. When the rain or hail hit the top of the RV it sounded like gun fire! The flashes were like high, bright flashes of the sun.

Bye for now!

The Snake!

We were at the Aztec Ruins in New Mexico. (http://www.nps.gov/azru/ ) As we were going down after looking at a Kiva a snake came! The snake nearly bit me and my mom. It got to Mac.(Just Kidding, again!) We ran down a wall to avoid it. (You are NOT suppose to get on the actual walls of the monument! But we had to escape somehow!

It wasn’t poisonous. It was a Bull Snake. (Or at least the Park Ranger told us it was.) I don’t believe it was, because the pictures we found on the internet don’t look like it. I have a terrifiable, large (that could cover a whole school) fear of snakes.
Bye for now!
We will keep you updated!

Today I saw a bunny, a horse, a goat, a deer, donkeys, a wallaby, ostriches, and sheep at Hole n The Rock. (http://www.theholeintherock.com/ )

I also saw two stuffed horses that were wild and stuffed by a taxiderminst.
We are currently camping at Hovenweep … (http://www.nps.gov/hove/photosmultimedia/index.htm )

June 4

We went to the Chuck Wagon. There was a gunfight at 7:00 pm. 7:30 they served food. There was Chicken or Beef …same thing every day…. Boy was it GREAT!

They played music at 8:15 until 9:00 when they closed up.

Report on the Mantids

Tuesday June 3rd

YES, MY PRAYING MANTIDS ARE STILL ALIVE.

I have eleven praying mantids still alive. They have been riding free range in the RV for the trip. (Just kidding!) They are riding in an octagon fish tank on the floor of the RV. They suffered a minor landslide today, and all the rocks slid to one side, but they didn’t experience any damage.

They are being fed fruit flies.

This is a picture of the flies riding first class in the RV!

Animal count: cows, 11 mantids

The Adventure Begins

On Monday, we drove from Powell Butte to Fruitland, Idaho. We saw a lot of animals. We saw a bull, a strange cow/yak that had bangs between his horns, one colt, a lot of horses, birds, a lot of cattle, and one antelope.

The story of the Bull

We stopped at Glass Butte to find obsidian. We hopped the fence and started looking. Five minutes later, I saw a VERY large, black bull. We were chased out of the pasture by the bull because we made a sudden movement. (JUST Kidding) Instead of making the sudden movement, we walked out of the pasture, not ran. It didn’t chase us.

Animal count: 1 Bull, 1cow/yak, cows, horses, birds, 1 antelope.
